a band called Yuck

I don't know why a band would call themselves 'Yuck', especially when they are actually pretty decent.. but anywhos.. last weekend I headed to the Phoenix Concert Theatre to check out some bands that I had honestly never heard of before. Around 9pm an interesting group of people took the stage, the lead singer had a head full of red curly hair, there was an asian woman bass player and a dark dude dummer with a hugeee fro.

I thought this was pretty rad as I learned from my boyfriend that Yuck is from London England. Formed in 2009, Daniel Blumberg ( Lead Vocals, Guitar), Max Bloom (Guitar, Vocals), Mariko (Bass) and Jonny Rogoff (Drums) are a mix of indie rock and a total flashback to the 1990s. 

The band released their self titled album in February of 2011 and have been touring ever since. I had not 

heard of their music before the show, but my favourite song was a tune called "Get A Way". 

Overall... pretty catchy 90s flashback from England who look down a lot and really don't say much. If you are looking for some new tunes.. check out YUCK they seem to be on their way to making a name for themselves.
