Last Thursday Night was the kick off to one of my favourite music festivals, The Burlington Sound of Music Festival.. and boy did they kick it off right. Headliners THE ARKELLS have not only recently won a Juno for Group of the Year.. they are from HAMILTON. They drew a massive crowd out to Spencer Smith Park on what was seriously the perfect night by the water for some rock and roll. These boys KILLED IT. They have got to be hands down one of my favourite local rock bands, and by the sound of the insane screaming kids, they are many peoples favourite. Starting it off right with their hit Whistle Blower, they played a solid set of both new and old tunes, both off Jackson Square and Michigan Left. I don't know the last time I saw these boys play, but I know I will defiantly make sure to see them again soon! Go Hamilton Pride !!!
