Last week I had an afternoon off so me and the girls headed down to Maple Leaf Square, or what most people know as the area outside of the Air Canada Centre, to check out the Olympic Block Party.. and the boys of Hedley. I have not seen my Hedley boys in quite a while so I was a tad excited. Advertised as a ticketed event, even though the tickets were free in advance, tons of people packed into the small area in front of the stage with anticipation of seeing Hedley as well as some of our Canadian Athletes. For a pretty hyped and televised event, I was expecting much more. I did not see many of our Athletes, as most of them did not even appear on the stage, more so on the big screen that people could watch. When Hedley finally took the stage, I was just getting into it, and they were finished. Much to the dismay of most of the crowd Hedley only played 3 songs.
Overall although it was cool to receive a ton of free samples as well as hold onto an Olympic Torch, I felt the event fell short on entertainment, and overall was kind of a letdown, but check out some photos of Hedley performing at the Block Party.
