Sometimes when you haven't seen a band or heard new music for a while you put those albums and that band on the back burner and forgot about why you fell in love with them to begin with. Then that band comes out on stage, in a small venue and belts out that one song that you loved so insanely much.. and it all comes back. THE KILLERS released a new album this fall, and it has been on repeat ever since. Titled Battle Born, with the first single Runaways.. I have fallen in love all over with this band from Las Vegas. When I first found out they would be playing at the Sound Academy as a stop on their very small promo tour with coinsided with the Album Release, I freaked out. I have seen the Killers plently of times, but never in a small venue. To my sadness, presale and onsale date tickets both sold out in under a minute, but due to my daily checking of ticketmaster, I somehow scored two tickets to the show, a week before it was set to take place. Needless to say.. I WAS SO PUMPED. Other then the Venue ( as we all know my dislike for the Sound Academy) there is nothing bad I can say about the performance. Brandon Flowers is an amazing entertainer and you could tell that he was so happy to be back up performing for his fans. I was worried that I wouldn't hear any of the older songs, but I was wrong. It was a solid set with a good mix of both songs off of Battle Born and all the hits from the Killers that made me love them in the first place! They will be playing in December at the ACC, and tickets are still available, so its a must see if you are a fan.
