Jesse McCartney is a singer/actor who made it big playing in All My Children and Summerland and then got his start in music in the boyband "Dream Street" before becoming a solo artist and most notably his single "Beautiful Soul". I personally had thought he had pretty much dropped off the earth until I found out he would be the opening act on this years Backstreet Boys, In a World Like This, Tour. Personally I don't know why they didn't get Nick Carters Bro Aaron to open for them, but I won't comment on that. Jesse put on a good performance, but it was super super cheesy. I did enjoy his new songs, and the crowd loved him so he must have been doing something right. My fave part was when he ended with his biggest single "Beautiful Soul" as it was the one song of his I knew. !
I saw Jesse McCartney as the opener for the Backstreet Boys, and even though I was completely unfamiliar with his work, I was quite impressed. He had his complete Bruno Mars/Justin Timberlake routine down pat--frankly looked and sounded better than both of them. Loved his band! The Boys could have used a live band backing them up. And NO, with his attitude (always bad) most Backstreet fans do NOT want to listen to Aaron Carter as an opener. He needs to go back to Broadway and stay.
