Alyssa Reid at OnexOne

Before seeing Alyssa Reid at OnexOne last week, I will admit I don't really know much about her, and still, after seeing her, I don't really know much about her. I do know shes young, she can play an instrument, and she still relies on a backtrack while performing live.   Now I don't know if its an every show thing, but in my opinion, if you want to be considered a "singer/songwriter" there is two things that are important in my book, SINGING live, and writing your own music.  I honestly don't know about her songwriting talents, as I do not own either of her albums- her newest Time Bomb- was released in February right before she went out on tour with the Hedley boys.  Her biggest hit "Alone Again" is basically a cover of Hearts "Alone" with a few other words thrown into it.  I do have a huge issue with singers, singing to tracks.. and trust me, I have seen even the biggest singers do it, and be disappointed, so yes, I was disappointed to hear the back track come out louder then Alyssa's actual singing at this event.  Shes adorable, and shes young, so I am going to let it slide this time, but girly, if you want to make it as a singer... impress everyone, and sing.
