What is Wrong in with the world?

Last weekend was the G8/G20 in Toronto. 

I will be the 1st to admit that I dont follow govenment or policies or anything like that, and really, at the time I could have cared less about all the world leaders getting together in Huntsville and Toronto to talk about money or whatever else they had to talk about. All I really knew what that Obama was coming to town and that Protests were gonna happen. 

I never expected to see what actually happened last weekend in Toronto. Cop cars lit on fire on Queen West, Windows Broken EVERYWHERE, Lines of Police with batons and shields and gas masks. I was sitting at work when I heard about what was going on on the street of Toronto. Needless to say, I went straight online to see what was going on and what I saw blew my mind. 

It angers and upsets me to see idiots who feel the need to reak havoc on the downtown streets of one of my favourite places. Seeing the streets surrounding the Much Music Building full of Police in their riot geer and burning Police Cars.. Words cant even describe how dissappointed this made me. Yes, I understand that Protests happen. But these people who did this, ruined it for the people who actually had something to say. 

Yes, the Police did not do a very good job of detaining the madness, and in the process many innocent people were arrested, including journalists. watching the news and listening to the radio and hearing what these people were going though...Insane. In the end, it was the violence and the arrests that overshadowed what actually went down inside the Metro Toronto Convention Centre last weekend, and maybe next time.. we can only hope, that this never happens again.  

Toronto became a Police State.. it became Gotham City.. and Thank god Batman was watching (he tweeted that he was). Lets just hope this never has to happen again. 

Toronto is a beautiful city.. lets get the idiots out and keep it that way.
