This is REALLY overdue! SLASH

wow, I have been so insanely busy lately that I didnt even realise that I never made a post about this show!!!

Since reading his book, hearing him speak and actually meeting the Legend back in March, I had been DYING to see SLASH perform Live! On September 10th, I dragged Mike out to the Kool Haus in Toronto.. and I FINALLLLLLLY got to see the one and only SLASH perform LIVE!

 The Venue was filled with people of all ages, all ready to rock and hear the guitar god play!!! At 9:30 Slash and his band finally took the stage. The screaming and chanting in the Kool Haus was unlike anything I had ever heard before, everyone was there for One reason only.. to see SLASH.

Although Slash put out a kick ass record this spring, complete with everyone from Fergie to Kid Rock and Maroon Fives Adam Levine.. Slash has a touring band, with lead singer Miles Kennedy.  I wasn't very impressed with him vocally, as most of the time it came off very "coverband" like. This came out the most when they performed hit songs such as Velvet Revolvers "Fall to Pieces". Personally the highlight of the night was hearing Slash perform "Sweet Child Of Mine". Although I would have LOVED to be able to see Guns and Roses perform it back in the day (you know when I was born), it was sitll pretty epic to hear Slash perform it! The show ended with "Paradise City" and I danced my butt off!
Overall, I had a blast. For me, it was more about hearing Slash then seeing the full band..and I know that Im lucky enough to have seen him and have met him. Slash will always be high up on my favourite dirty rockstar list and I will always be a fan!
