NKOTBSB !!!!!!!!!!!

This past Saturday night I channeled my inner teenie-bopper and went to the much anticipated joint tour by the Heavy weights of the boyband days, New Kids on the Block and The Backstreet Boys. It was the second last show on a tour that had lasted a few months and hit practically every city in North America, selling out two dates in Toronto just over a month ago.

As soon as the opening video started, every girl.. well adult in Copps was up on their feet and screaming. There is no sound as loud as thousands of woman screaming for a boyband. The feeling of anticipation of seeing your favorite guy up on that stage is a feeling you can never take away from a fan. I have been a fan of the Backstreet Boys for 15 years. I remember being 11 years old and crying because my mommy said I was too young to see my idols. I first them live in 2008 when I saved up that $60 dollars to buy my very own ticket, and I haven't looked back.

I am now 25 and I am proud to say that I am still a fan of these boys, although they are now men, and there is only 4 of them, the Backstreet Boys will always have a place in my heart.

This tour was a total spectacle. A huge entrance with the 9 guys. The New Kids On the Block with Joey, Donnie, Jordan, Jonathan and and Danny. The Backstreet Boys with Nick, Brian, Howie and AJ.  Each band took turns on the stage, singing all the hits, coming down into the audience, bringing fans on stage, rising up above the crowd. There were all your favourite dance moves and costume changes. Each band made full use of the "penis stage" as they called it. a huge stage with a long catwalk into the middle of a floor with a smaller stage at the end.

Highlights of the show were when Joey McIntyre sang his song "Please Dont Go Girl"  and when the Backstreet Boys sang "Shape of Your Heart" while walking through the crowd. It doesn't matter how cheesy the music is, or how old the guys get.. the songs have become timeless, they live in each fan and everyone can identify a moment in their life when they first heard "Step By Step" or "Get Down". These songs were my teenage years and I will always be there whenever the Backstreet Boys have a show.

Generations were brought together during this tour, and it will go down as one of the best tour ideas in history.  If you are. or were a boyband fan and missed this concert.. you missed out.
