Right before GC took the stage, they announced on their Twitter that due to the twins (Benji and Joel) being Sick.. they were cancelling a few upcoming shows. The Toronto show also marked the Birthday of the Bothers, so it was fitting that the other bands brought out a cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday!
Yes, you could tell that both Benji and Joel didn't sound their best, but to the crowd that packed the Phoenix, they didn't care.
The best part of the show was when the band announced that they were going to play only older songs for 90% of the show! As a long-time fan.. this pretty much made my day!!!! Good Charlotte are one of those bands who yes, may be past their prime, but they have the fans who will stick by them no matter what! We go to the shows to take us back to our high school days, and we dance. and in the end. thats all that matters!
