If there is anything that makes me happier then an IllScarlett Show... its an IllScarlett HOLIDAY show, at the Opera House, with opening acts Trouble and Daughter, Cardinal Chase and KO.. and thats just what went down the Friday night before Christmas.
It is something I look forward to every holiday season since I have can remember. IllScarlett gets their band friends together and plays a totally amazing show to celebrate the end of the year and the holidays! This years celebration may just go down in history as one of my favourite shows !!!
First off was Trouble and Daughter, if you have known about illScarlett then you know all about their former bassist Jonny D... Trouble and Daughter is his new venture, in which him and his friends have put together this incredible sound involving some of the best harmonies I have ever heard in my entire life. Hands down, this is the local band to keep an eye out for in 2013. AMAZING
Up Next was Cardinal Chase. Having never seen them before, I was totally pumped by their performance. They have some great onstage energy and that killer Ska/Punk/Rock sound that I am pretty much obsessed with. They also did a killer tribute to the Beastie Boys, which everyone went crazy for. I will for sure go see these guys again.
anddd that brings us to KO. I have written about my insane love for him more then once.. so I will leave it at this : I love KO. that is all.
Then it was the men of the night, my amazing as always IllScarlett boys. They killed it!!! The highlight of the night was seeing Jonny get back on stage with the rest of the guys and jam out like old times. It brought back memories and I felt like with all the changes in the last year, it was the perfect way to finish off another year of IllScarlett. Thanks boys, for another amazing year of music... 2013 will be my 10th year with these guys, and they have given me so many memories. Love you all so much ! <3 p="">
