There was flying and dancing and spinning and lights and glitter and singing... yes lots of singing. P!NK brought her over the top tour to the Air Canada Centre this past Monday night for the much anticipated Truth About Love Tour, in support of her newest album, and as expected, she nailed it, every single part. I have seen P!nk perform quite a few times since she came onto the scene as a Pink haired, bad ass in the late 1999s. I have seen her at the Kool Haus , and I saw her last tour, The FUN House Tour also at the ACC. I was interested to see if she was going to be able to pull it off as good as she did during that last tour. Needless to say, The Truth About Love Tour, pretty much killed it on every single level. The show started out with the "game show" host introducing P!NK, and the show started with a bang, and the woman of the hour , errr two hours, being held up and thrown around by 3 very ripped men, singing and not missing a note of the party anthem Raise Your Glass. The stage was huge, backed by a ton of screens with a huge heart screne in the centre and a catwalk that came out into a heart shape as well. The show flowed perfectly, with a great mix of new tunes, old tunes, flying, spinning, acoustic parts and costume changes. The ACC was on its feet the whole time. P!nk is a rockstar. Her vocals were amazing, her dancing was spot on and the crowd was wowed by every performace. She has this quality about her that also makes her seem totally real, she interacts with the audience, forgets her words and seemed so very genuine everytime she spoke. Her encore consisted of her flying over the whole audience, spinning and stopping at the back of the theatre, giving people even in the back of the venue a chance to see her up close, and somehow never missing a beat of her hit tune SO WHAT, then coming back out and re-creating her epic Grammy Performance of Glitter in the Air and it was perfection. She has announced that she will be back in Toronto in November with tickets going onsale this week. So seriously, go see this woman. She is AMAZING.
