When Ian Thornley and his band BIG WRECK took the stage at Copps to open for Motley Crue, I knew it was going to be a good night. Ian Thornley is pretty much a staple in the canadian music scene, not only fronting Big Wreck in the 90s, but also for his successful solo venture with Thornley. In the past few years, Big Wreck has re-united and in 2012 they release their newest album entitled Albatross. I would say I am a casual fan of Big Wreck as well as Thornley. I have seen Thornley perform, and I enjoy them every time. To me, when bands have the same front man, who is also the main writer for the band, sometimes it is hard to differentiate from either band, and I do feel that is the case here, but either way, Big Wreck put on a great show and did an awesome job of getting the crowd ready for Motley Crue. Big Wreck will be playing at Burlington Sound Of Music Fest next month, on June 14th, so I highly suggest you come and rock out with me !!!
