Rockers Motley Crue have been around for longer then I have been alive. Known for their classic 80s rock sound from a time of big hair and leather outfits, Motley Crue is just pretty much Epic in my opinion. My love for Motley Crue came not at first for their musical stylings, but for my intrigue for reading Bios of rockstars. I started off reading Nikki Sixx's Heroin Daries and from there moved on to The Motley Crue Bio "The Dirt" and from there I fell in love with everything about this band. Nikki Sixx has become somebody I look up to on so many levels. I look up to him for overcoming so much, changing his life, growing up and becoming so passionate about life, and his music and his photography and his love for finding the beauty in everything. He also hosts a radio show which for if you know me, I studied Radio Broadcasting, so that also tugs at my heart.
The band started their show at Copps with a countdown, from 5:00 minutes, filling the stage with smoke while the beats of the opening song "Saints of Los Angeles".. Nikki Sixx appeared on the floor, flanked by hot women carrying flags with MC on them.. as he made his way up onto the stage. To me, he is perfection so really thats all I needed to go INSANE. Then the countdown ended and Vince, Tommy and Mick Mars took the stage and it was lights, smoke, hot women and a drum rollercoaster amazingness. The guys did all their hits, Dr. Feelgood, Girls Girls Girls, Shout at the Devil and ended with Kick Start my Heart as well as their new single SEX. I was on my feet and danced my butt off the whole time !! I loved how each of the guys had their time to shine, and I wish I could have had a ride on Tommy Lees Drum Coaster.. (Theres always next time!). Overall, the show was great and I can't wait to see the guys again ! Lets hope that this time I can find the hidden backstage passes !!!!
If you didn't make it to the show, check out some of the photos below !
