Day Two of Lolla only had one artist and one band that I was super pumped for, so after spending a day exploring the beautiful city of Chicago, I headed over to Grant Park to check out my picks for the day, the Talented Ellie Goulding and one of the biggest groups in the world, Mumford and Sons.
ELLIE GOULDING
Ellie Goudling is somebody who I have wanted to see live for a while so needless to say I was pumped to be able to see her play at an awesome festival such as Lolla. The girl did not disappoint. The sun was shining and the crowd was singing and dancing and loving every minute of Ellie's performance. She was actually adorable. She looked so overwhelmed by all the support from the fans and she kept telling the crowd how Lovely they were and thanking everybody for coming which made everyone just scream even more. I LOVED her performance and I seriously hope she does a solo tour and comes to Toronto soon so I can see her again!
MUMFORD AND SONS
The big draw for fans at this years Lollapalooza was hands down the boys of Mumford and Sons. They are one of the biggest bands in the world right now and their music crosses genres, making their appeal bigger the most huge bands right now. I am happy to say that they did not disappoint. I feel like they have this simplicity that is also extremely diverse in some weird way that makes them so fantastic. Their performance was seriously the perfect summer night, music festival performance. The crowd was beyond massive and it was so amazing to hear every single person singing along to every song. Everywhere you looked people were dancing and just having such a good time. I will admit that I went into their performance knowing some songs, and I left a die-hard Mumford fan.
