My love for Andrew and his music started way back in the Something Corporate days, and I even remember the last time I saw them play together, funny enough, at The Kool Haus. I remember it because I got kicked in the head and got my glasses broken. but ANYWHO. needless to say, back in May when I found out about this show.. I was BEYOND estatic!
I recently got a tattoo that has lyrics that Andrew had written, so I am so happy that I got to finally show it to him (And he LOVED it).
The biggest highlight of the show was during the Encore (isn't it always the case). But I got to hear my favorite Something Corporate song EVER. Andrew sat down behind the Piano and belted out their biggest "hit" Konstatine. I have seen Andrew perform more then 10 times, and I have never ever gotten to hear this song, so yah.. it pretty much made my life!
There was no Opening Act, so the guys played for almost 2 hours solid. .doing all the favourites, as well as some hard to find/unrelased until now songs! Fantastic Sold Out show at the Kool Haus.. its amazing to see that even though neither Something Corporate OR Jacks Mannequin has technically ever had a hit in Canada, Andrew is constantly selling out shows and its a true testament to his insane talent and personality. I am crossing my fingers that I will be hearing a new Something Corporate Album in the near future!
