It took 3 shows , and for it to be the 2nd last show of the year for the Marianas Trench boys to pull out all the stops to impress me at the Royal Winter Fair back in November. As much as I love this band, I was starting to think that lead Singer and Canadian Heartthrob Josh Ramsay just didn't have the live vocals needed to pull of the notes that he sings on their most recent (AMAZING) Album, "Masterpiece Theatre".
When I found out that they would be headlining a show in Toronto, and that it would be their second last show before they head back into the studio, I decided that I was going to give the guys one more chance. Their hit song "Good To You" has been getting beyond major airplay, and it has become one of my favourite ballads of 2010.
I am happy to say, that this time, I was not let down! From the second Josh took centre stage in that not so venue, venue, the screams of the crowd were deafening and the energy that was coming of the stage was so insane!
The guys performed song after song, and Josh never missed a note!!! They played every single song off Masterpiece Theatre, as well as many older favourites. During "Good To You", Josh brought onstage a winner of a youtube contest to do the duet with them, Liz was her name and she was Fantastic!
The show ended after Midnight, and I am happy to say that I now have faith that Josh is JUST as talented live as he is on a album. It was a great night filled with great tunes, cute boys and lots of dancing!
