The Joint Venture Tour.

The Joint Venture Tour rolled into Hamilton this past Thursday Night and pretty much killed it.  It was a beautiful night and the casbah was packed with people ready to party and dance with Rebel Emergency, Daniel Wesley and KO.

Rebel Emergency, who have quickly become a staple in the Toronto Reagee/Rawk/ Ska music scene kicked off the night. The guys are awesome. They have an undeniable energy and had the packed Casbah up and dancing their entire set! I could not get enough of them. Labelled as one of the next big bands by The Edge, Rebel Emergency consists of Roddy (Vocals), Geoff ( Guitar), Mike (Bass) and Jeremy (Drums). If you need some catchy dance tunes to add to your summer playlist - check these guys out for sure!

Next up was Daniel Wesley and I couldn't have been more pumped!  I have been listening to him for a few years now since he used to tour with my boys in IllScarlett. Anywhos, Blonde and with one of the hottest voices in Canada, to me Daniel can do no wrong. With his Sufer Rock Pop sound and beyond catchy tunes Daniels music is an essential staple as far as summer playlists go! I have been listening to his album "Sing and Dance" for what seems like ever and its the type of music that never gets old. With a new album on the way Daniel is one of those people who I hope never stops making music! He played pretty much all of his biggest tunes such as my favourite "You Aint Shit" and the insanely dancable "Pilgrimage". Make Daniel a MUST SEE or MUST HEAR this summer!

The final performance of the night was from Toronto Singer/Rapper/Musician KO. He calls his music "Blaze Music" and the blazing was evident inside the small venue. Smoke filled the casbah as KO took the stage. He grew up in Toronto, and has had an interesting life, even living on the streets of San Fransisco for some time. His music is an interesting mix of singing and rapping and guitar playing mixed with totally chilled dancing tunes. Needless to say, he was pretty rad! Another album to add to your summer playlist is KO- Lets Blaze

Thanks to Shaun for hookin us up!
