You know summer is coming to an end when the Canadian National Exhibition opens its gates. Theres Rides and Games, Epic amounts of Deep Fried Food... and my favourite part of the CNE- The Concerts at the Bandshell. This year the CNE has out done its self with two weeks of amazing music, so stay tuned for tons more photos!
My CNE concert schedule kicked off on Sunday with Canada's own Marianas Trench. If you read the blog enough you would know that I have written about the guys before, both good things and bad things. I was anxious to see what they would bring to the stage this time. I was beyond blown away on Sunday Night when the boys from Marianas Trench pretty much played the best show of theirs that I have ever seen. Lead Singer Josh Ramsay killed it with his vocals, not missing one note the whole night. He was full of energy, jumping down off the stage multiple times to interact with the insane amounts of screaming girls in the front row. They performed a solid 90 minute set, complete with all the old favourites, as well as the new single "Haven't had Enough". My personal highlight was when they performed a new song, and although I don't know what it was called, it was slow, and is probably one of my favourite songs I have heard of theirs.
With a new single, A new album is not far away. Marianas Trench has all the aspects of a great band. Amazing song writing, a Lead Singer with the charisma and talent to back it up, and amazing musicians. I would highly recommend the boys if you have never seen them in concert, or just need a new band to fall in love with!
