You know its going to be a crazy show when it starts with a blow up zebra being thrown into the crowd. Formed in 2006, LMFAO now have the number one song in 18 countries with "Park Rock Anthem" and after seeing them for the 2nd time this past weekend at the Kiss 92.5 WHAM BAM at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, they are high up on my last of favourite bands to see perform live.
There was animal print, back up dancers, people dressed as robots, nakedness, dancing and more dancing, beer, champagne and so many costume changes during the LMFAO set. They are hardcore party rockers, and they made sure that the whole crowd was up on their feet having a blast. Highlights included "Shots" and "Party Rock Anthem" and their newest single " I'm Sexy and I know It".
LMFAO is made up of an Uncle and Nephew team that go by the name of Redfoo and Skyblu. They are realitives of Motown label founder Berry Gordy. Their album "Party Rock" was nominated for a Grammy in 2009 and their latest album "Sorry for Party Rocking" was released this past spring. The guys have started their own clothing line (www.partyrockclothing.com).
